Thirsty Traveler

This year, or next year, I have a plan to visit all the major islands I haven't visit: Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua.

I've been wanting to go to Kalimantan for quite sometime. I have one place in particular: Bukit Bangkirai Canopy Bridge. People have to climb 30 meters to be able to walk on the canopy bridge. I fell in love instantly when I saw it on television couple of years ago. I said to myself, "I have to visit it someday."

I also want to visit Sulawesi, especially Tana Toraja. A friend of mine has families there and she told me about her recent visit there to attend a traditional ceremony. It was a huge event, covered by the news and many tourists flocked her village. I want to see it. And I want to drink Toraja coffee, right there on the very ground.

Last but not least, I want to visit Papua, especially Raja Ampat. Why? Because of my father. He went there once and I almost couldn't contain myself, because I felt such envy consuming me. It's so expensive to go there, because Raja Ampat is so far from Jakarta. But everything I heard about it, has been nothing but nice things. As you can see for yourself.

Someday, soon.
