Mental Health Institution: Rumah Sakit Jiwa Radjiman Wediodiningrat Malang
Two days ago I went to Sumber Porong, Lawang, Malang, East Java to accompany two of my colleagues. I gave them assignment to conduct oral examination for the students there. Thirteen of my students were placed in Rumah Sakit Jiwa Radjiman Wediodiningrat, the largest mental health institution in South East Asia to do their internship for two whole months. We went there last Tuesday, spent the night, and left on Wednesday.
Here are some of the pictures I took using my cellphone camera.
This is the old colonial house that we stayed in. It was ridiculously cheap to stay here, and we really enjoyed ourselves. My colleagues were easily spooked and indeed, the house was kind of creepy. But I love old buildings, so I took everything in, the grand charms and the scary auras. I promise myself I will come back and stay here someday, pleasure wise.
This is the mental health museum. It contained some artifacts from the institutions, but we failed to visit it due to our limited time spent in Lawang.
This is the view from the room that we used to conduct the examination. It was the sunniest day I've witnessed since, like, forever, maybe? The Arjuna mountain was so visibly bright and majestic in the background.
The front of the operation room. Maybe they used to do some operation here, but I have no idea what kind of operation.
The magnificent look of the operation room. And no, I didn't do anything about this picture. The sky was that blue and that clear.
