Kopi Aroma, Bandung, Jawa Barat
I've been to Kopi Aroma, a coffee factory/seller in Bandung, Jawa Barat. I went there two years ago, November 14, 2009, but never got the chance to write anything about it. I visited Kopi Aroma because of my cousin. He likes the coffee and asked me to accompany me to go there. So one day, we went to Bandung, just to go there. We took a taxi there, through a crowed market, and finally got there to look around and bought some coffee.
I wasn't a
coffee drinker back then. I was a tea person. But seeing my cousin's
excitement and eagerness about coffee converted me somehow. Now, I
drink coffee, too. Not as much as tea, God forbids, but still much more
than I used to.
Kopi
Aroma is an old business establishment, running since 1930. It's a
local family-own business, and consistently doing everything just the
way they were when they started. The building is antique collonial and
all of their equipments are also antique, and working, too.
I loved
my trip to Kopi Aroma, just because everything smelled wonderful. I
love the smell of roasted coffee because it always reminds me of my
mother. She drinks coffee almost religiously, everyday.
